Summer Coon Volcano

 

-> Located in south central Colorado, approximately 10 miles north of Del Norte

-> The volcano has been heavily eroded, although dipping extrusive deposits are preserved and can be used to reconstruct the paleotopography of the volcano

-> Twenty major silicic dikes (in addition to hundreds of small mafic dikes) have orientations radial to the central intrusive complex of the volcano
