We started the balloon flight around 6:30 a.m., because we needed a calm wind for the balloon. Here at the Wallace Creek, it usually got very windy around noon. We even saw some dust devils when we were having lunch. If it is too windy, the camera will sway and will produce a blurry photo (like in photo# 1501 and 1503). So we started early in the morning.
For flight 1, we walked toward NW along the San Andreas fault. For flight 2, we traced the San Andreas fault toward SE back to where we started the flight 1.
The altitude of the balloon was higher in flight 2 than in flight 1.
