Wupatki Computer Modeling Project Webpage
For my Computer Project, I will assist Lee Amoroso (right) in his research
of a fault scarp near Wupatki National Monument, Arizona. This research
consists of measuring thicknesses of weathering rinds on chips taken out
of a basalt face, and using this data to create computer models which will
hopefully tell us something about the patterns of weathering, rupturing,
and morphology of the face.
I hope to take the data that Lee found, and model it using excel,
photoshop, GMT, and other programs to see what kinds of trends may be
present in the patterns on the scarp.
